On November 13, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology hosted a new product appraisal meeting of Wuxi Jiangnan Cable Co., Ltd. in Yixing, and 10 new products independently developed by Jiangnan Cable passed the appraisal due to their excellent structural design and performance. Where, the "rated voltage 25kV high-voltage spiral jumper cable" has excellent comprehensive performance, reaching the international leading level; "Rated voltage 190/330kV cross-linked polyethylene insulated welding corrugated aluminum sheathed PVC sheathed longitudinal water blocking flame-retardant power cable", "rated voltage 10kV low wind pressure overhead insulated cable" and other new products have reached the international advanced level.

The appraisal committee is composed of seven experts from China Research Committee on Insulated Cables of CIGRE, National Technical Committee for Wire and Cable Standardization, Jiangsu Institute of Product Quality Supervision and Inspection, Electric Power Research Institute of State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co., Ltd., Changzhou Kailian Testing Technology Co., Ltd., and Wuxi Polytechnic Institute.

At the meeting, Ma Zhuang, the chief engineer of Jiangnan Cable, introduced the company's development and technology research and development, and expressed warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to all experts and leaders. The experts at the meeting carefully reviewed the product identification materials, listened carefully to the research and development background, product characteristics, key technologies, test reports, user trials and other reports of various new products, and exchanged relevant details and design conditions. After inquiry and discussion, the appraisal committee believes that the enterprise has advanced production equipment, perfect process equipment, complete testing means, and passed the quality management system certification, which can meet the conditions for mass production. The appraisal committee unanimously agreed to pass the new product appraisal.

Jiangnan Cable has strong scientific research strength. Relying on the national postdoctoral research workstation, Jiangsu Enterprise Academician Workstation, the laboratory assessed by the National Accreditation Service (CNAS), Jiangsu Enterprise Technology Center, Jiangsu Special Cable and Application Engineering Technology Research Center and other platforms, the products developed by Jiangnan Cable are used in China Laos Railway, Beijing Winter Olympics venues, China Zun, Shanghai World Expo and other key projects. The holding of this appraisal meeting demonstrated the strength of continuous innovation of cable products in Jiangnan, and played a positive role in leading the technological innovation and development of the cable industry.
